KSB has introduced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase expansion of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.

The first two phases of the expansion had been permitted in 2013 in response to rising market demand for larger tools. Since then, the Grovetown facility has accomplished upgrades, added tens of thousands of square toes to its foundry, elevated furnace capacity, completed building on a distribution centre, and won approval for three extra phases of improvement.
With the completion of the challenge, KSB has quadrupled its capacity to mold castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), increased its most pouring output by as much as 66,000 lbs (30,000 kg), lowered the variety of required shot blast runs by 50%, added particular cleansing stations for big castings, applied new technology and efficiency options, and doubled employee locker room facilities.
KSB went forward with the project’s completion, regardless of the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic fallout.
